The 4th Annual Eastern North Carolina Sustainability Summit is coming soon! Please join us on Wednesday, October 26th at Halifax Community College from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The event is open to everyone and general registration is FREE thanks to the generosity of partners, grantors, and sponsors.
This Summit is for everyone interested in learning about the concepts and practices of sustainability and how it can improve the economy, create job opportunities, and improve quality of life for communities now while preserving resources for the next generations. It offers sessions from noted speakers and experts on renewable energy, the local food economy and agriculture, water, alternative fuel vehicles, and more.
The event plans to include local food trucks, exhibitors, and an alternative fuel clean vehicle show with automobiles that run on electricity, compressed natural gas, ethanol, propane, and biodiesel from a variety of manufacturers and dealers.
